…and your pup could be featured on a Foster Fuels billboard.
Dog Days of Summer is Foster Fuels’ four-week celebration of the local dogs that make summer better, and in 2026, it’s better than ever. Each week, dog owners across Central Virginia and the Foster Fuels service area can enter for a chance to see their pup featured on Foster Fuels social media and billboards around Lynchburg!
Entering is simple: find the weekly Dog Days of Summer post on the Foster Fuels Facebook page, then comment with a photo of your dog, your dog’s name, and the city or town where your dog lives.

On August 3, the three weekly winners will face off in one final Facebook vote. The winning pup will be crowned Summer’s Top Dog on August 10.
Every weekly winner will earn:
Summer’s Top Dog will receive the campaign’s final billboard feature and a Foster Fuels doggie basket containing a $20 PetSmart gift card, dog toys, dog treats, and a dog bowl.
Dog Days of Summer is an organic Foster Fuels campaign created to celebrate our community, generate some tail-wagging fun, and give local dogs their moment in the spotlight.
At the conclusion of the campaign, the Foster Fuels Foundation will make a donation to BARCC in support of its work serving animals in Campbell County.

Voting takes place through likes and reactions on eligible photo comments under the active weekly Facebook post. Unless otherwise stated in the post, weekly voting ends on Friday. The eligible dog photo with the most reactions at the close of voting will be declared that week’s winner. Each week, the winner will be displayed on Foster Fuels billboards around the region.
After three weekly winners have been selected, those dogs will compete in a final Facebook vote for the title of Summer’s Top Dog.
Participants are welcome to share their dog’s photo to an Instagram post or Story and tag Foster Fuels for a chance to be reposted. Instagram Story posts do not count as official contest entries; all official entries must be submitted through the active weekly Facebook post.
