August 25, 2017 – The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has announced its top performing industry partners for 2016. Among them is Foster Fuels, returning to the list of top suppliers after receiving a Gold award in 2014 and a Bronze in 2015.

For this designation, the DLA selected only a percentage of its top 150 parts and commodity suppliers who have conducted business with the agency over the past two years. To be eligible for consideration, companies needed to have a proven performance record, as well as an established rating in the federal Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). Those selected had to rank high in the following areas evaluated by CPARS: cost, schedule, performance, quality, and business relations. Whether a business received a Gold, Silver or Bronze designation depended upon the individual business’s level of product moved in that particular year.

“Our military and federal civilians are the backbone of our community and country, and it is an honor to be able to serve them in this capacity,” Will Rohrig, Vice-President of Foster Fuels’ Mission Critical Services, said. “At Foster Fuels, we pride ourselves on efficient delivery and immediate responses, and I think that is evident in this designation.”

Foster Fuels has been a vendor with the DLA since 2006 and works to deliver fuel to federal, civilian, and military locations throughout the United States. Foster Fuels has previously been recognized by DLA with the 2012 DLA Outstanding Readiness Support Award for Small Business and the 2013 DLA Hurricane Sandy Award.
