Hazmat Compliance Information
Hazmat compliance is essential to the operation and success of Foster Fuels. In 2010, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) implemented a new safety measurement system for all motor carriers. This new system included safety and hazardous material (HM) compliance. This new system monitors all carriers through a carrier profile, which is available for public view. Trained motor carrier roadside inspectors can review carrier profiles in greater detail. With this new system, the FMCSA can closely monitor carriers who may fall short on safety and HM compliance.
In June 2009, Foster Fuels underwent a complete compliance review by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration at the request of our Safety Director. The result was the highest safety rating of satisfactory.
Foster Fuels is committed to the responsibility of transporting and storing hazardous materials. Hazardous materials come under the regulatory guidelines of the Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Foster Fuels’ Safety Director is constantly reviewing changing federal and state regulations regarding hazmat compliance that may require revised HM training classes and company policy changes for employees.
Commitment to safety and HM compliance equals trained employees, workplace safety, and safer service for our customers.
