As a family owned and operated company, Foster Fuels strongly believes that when our community succeeds, we succeed. That’s why CEO, Watt R. Foster Jr. donated 500 acres to Thomas Road Baptist Church in 2014 to build a youth camp at the Peaks of Otter in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
With over fifty years of camp involvement, Thomas Road Baptist Church’s mission for the camp is to reach at-risk youth from Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, and the DC area. Designed with numerous outdoor activities, the Thomas Road Outpost is scheduled to open Summer of 2016 and provides a safe and ministry-lead environment where youth can enjoy mountain biking, zip lining, fishing, archery, building healthy relationships and more.
With less than a year until it’s grand opening, there is a great need for donations in order to get Thomas Road Outpost ready for the first day of camp. The program is still growing and in need of donations to help financially support construction costs as they continue to build comfortable housing units for staffers and youth, create camp activities for each child to enjoy and gather necessary equipment to secure camp safety. This Sunday, December 20th, Thomas Road Baptist Church is collecting a special Christmas offering to raise donations for the children’s camp. If you would like to join in giving, learn more about the Thomas Road Outpost or financially support the ministry, donate online or drop off your gift during the Sunday offertory service.
